BPH vs. Prostate Cancer: Understanding The Difference
Many prostate-related symptoms can stem from either benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) or, less commonly, prostate cancer, and the two are often confused.
Here is a general overview to help you understand the difference — not a diagnosis of your own symptoms.
What BPH is
Benign prostatic hyperplasia is a non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate gland, extremely common as men age. It can cause urinary symptoms like frequent urination, weak stream, or nighttime trips to the bathroom.
What prostate cancer is
A cancerous growth in prostate tissue, which in early stages may cause no symptoms at all, or symptoms that overlap with BPH. This is part of why regular screening matters as men age.
Why the overlap matters
Because early symptoms can look similar, self-diagnosing based on symptoms alone isn't reliable. Only a doctor, typically through a PSA blood test and/or physical exam, can properly distinguish between the two.
Applying this to ProstaIron
A supplement like ProstaIron, whatever its exact formula, cannot diagnose or distinguish between these conditions — that requires a medical evaluation first.
